Em hotep Asykon! It's nice to meet you. I am a beloved of Bast, but I'm not as close with Her as I am with my Parent deities. I know there are many children of Bast who are always happy to talk about Her here!

Thanks I've already looked over the Kemet.org and read everything :3 I kinda like people to contact me instead of the vice versa situation. I think this will be the place to me but time will tell ^^, I hope I can get something in before february because I wanna learn what I can before I move to Chicago and visit in person x3

Asykon,

I highly recommend the search function that these forums offer (Netjer knows I haven't used it oft enough!).  Type in what you are wondering about and you will get a slew of threads related to the topic.  I often spend hours upon hours just reading thru old posts.

Em hotep and welcome!

The main reason I even stumbled across here was I had the feeling I needed a silver ankh necklace but couldn't find one that felt right ^^ any suggestions? Or is the Ankh the wrong symbol or?

I get the impression that the ancients didn't wear ankhs, they are usually shown in the hands of the netjeru.

However, at the one event I've been to at Tawy, every single one of us, including me, was wearing an ankh. I found mine at a Greek Orthodox rummage sale.

This place has one, and they also have a Wedjat eye and some scarabs. They also have gold ones for a lot more.

Hmmm still can't find one that "feels' right these just seem like theyre lacking in something. Should I get Wedjats or Udjats too? (Don't know the difference)

Em hotep and welcome!

If you're going to get a piece of jewelry, definitely go with what feels right, but also do a little research to discover the meanings of the symbol, too. Google Search or even Wikipedia will help you here. The ankh is the symbol of life; the djed pillar is the symbol of stability; the scarab is the symbol of transformation (among other things); the udjat/wedjat (same word, different spelling) is a symbol of protection and related to the Eye of Horus/Heru. That's a general summary, and you can get a lot more information if you go digging for it online. :)

Best of luck in finding something that suits you, and I hope you enjoy your time here!

Em hotep and welcome Asykon, it's very nice to meet you.  As others have said, go with what speaks to you as an individual. I have a plain silver ankh cross much like the one to the bottom right of your link page, but that is what spoke to me; you may find something very different that tickles your fancy.  :-)

I had a weird dream and a couple of visions(?) today and I was wondering if there was anyone here that could help me figure them out, they were highly egypt/kemet based.
