Geminid Meteor Showers
« on: December 13, 2011, 08:02:48 pm »
Did the Geminid Meteor Showers hold any significance to the Ancient Kemetic? Does it to the modern Kemetic Orthodoxy?
Here's an article about this upcoming opportunity:

I don't know about that particular meteor shower, but AFAIK, meteor showers would have held significance back in AE.

From what I have read, often meteor showers were to the north? Where the unperishable stars were. Before the Iron Age started, meteorites were often the only source of iron. I have also read that meteors and meteoric iron belong to Set (I believe I read this in Reidy's book).

So to me, it seems that they would have held at least some type of importance to them.
