Pet Names for Believers
«

Hi!
What pet names do your Parents/Beloveds give you when you speak with Them? For example, Anubis calls me "Little Dove" sometimes when I speak with Him. It's a joyful experience! Makes me purr every time!
I've just recently come back to Kemeticism, so that's all that I've experienced so far.

Mm, no pet names here really.
Probably has to do with hating pet names from anyone that's not my partners, and even then, accepting only a *very* small amount of them without taking insult though. ~.~

Sometimes they still call me Wind Rider, which has been one of my spiritual names since I was twelve, and one I used on the forums here before I became a shemsu.

I usually get "Child" from Mom, and Sekhmet-Hethert, and "Kiddo" from Wepwawet and Heru-wer.

I always get called "little one". It strikes me funny every time. I'm not exactly small or little by any means.

That's interesting angle to look at it - I wouldn't think of words expressing relationship like kiddo nor spiritual names really as 'pet names'.
Didn't occur to me, now I'm kind of facepalming with 'arrrrh, if *that*'s what is meant, that'd be a long history ~.~'

I've gotten all sorts of affectionate names from the gods. "Child" is common, and "little one". Also, "my Sobeq".

Mother calls me "My kitten" and "little one" a lot. Yinepu calls me "little hacker" from Astral projections involving swords (long story). Heru-wer has called me "little Flame" on occasion, though He sticks to Nebit.
And I just realized They all call me little... lol. Which is funny since I'm not exactly small.

LOL! I commonly get "little one" as well! It's so neat to share the same experiences with people!

I usually get my feelings as impulses and less as words, although this is something I might ask my Father about. I often have trouble finding words to explain the way I feel, but I suppose my Father knows this and cuts out the words and just goes straight to the feelings. I kinda get the feeling though that He would say something like "Well, you work better with feelings than with words, so I never really thought a name was needed. My relationship with you feels sorta like *this*" [insert interesting feeling here].
So I guess I'd say my pet name is "Warm-Hugs-and-Calm-Silence" with a hint of protective energies thrown in.

I've also gotten "Baby Girl" from Yinepu, although He doesn't feel like a Parent...

I get 'my daughter' from Yinepu, followed closely by a sensation of being claimed. Sekhmet, Bast-Mut, and Khnum rarely call me anything but Niti.

I have gotten alot, Little one, my Child, Beloved Little One, Neitkerty. It seems to depend on their moods. Anpu usually calls me Honored One. Nebet-Het calls me loving child. Honestly, I think so of it dpends on how we interact with each of the Gods.
Just thinking out loud.

I get called 'Tadpole' off and on, and never by my Mother.
Usually if I get called 'Tadpole' it's from Heru-wer or Djheuty, and we're all sharing a laugh.
