Quote from: Raawyserqet
So the "rule" is more that Set as a Parent needs a Heru as a Beloved, but it could be any of the Heru's?

The moment you create a "rule", it will immediately be broken.

I think it's best just to say that this has been the pattern thus far.

True about rule, as Taqai says. Also note that the Heru/Set pattern does not apply to Heru-sa-Aset, but is more about Heru-wer.

Now that I have said this, I expect Netjer to turn this pattern on its ear. :)

I suppose that in some sense, we get what we ask for in reference to the patterns; ever increasing information that muddles what we thought was the pattern.

Em Hotep

I did not read through this entirely and I have not have a RPD yet, but from what I read a theory sprung in my head:

Maybe you were able to find a pattern more accurate if you look closer on the people who get it. The way it is right now, the community has a great set of people from all around the globe. If some day the community has grown and groups with gerater bonds develope, within those groups of people we might find more accurate and visible patterns.

So, yeah, newby thoughts. Don't mind if it's nonesense. ^^"

Em hotep!

While I am not a statistician, I would posit that any pattern would need far more cases to include data from. Many people have undergone the Rite, there aren't that many really. Also, there could be no pattern, aka the Gods like throwing wrenches into any sort of pattern we think we might see.

I'm not really sure if there are any patterns involved in my RPD, with Ra as a Father, and Heruakhety, Bast, and Aset-Serqet as beloveds.

I think there could be something about Ra and Heruakhety, though. I haven't really seen many of Ra's kids around that much, so I can't really say much, to be honest!
Maybe someone else has noticed something I haven't C:

I don't think it's unusual for the various solar-related Gods and Goddesses to stick together. For me, Ra is my first beloved, which wasn't a surprise at all.

I've also seen a couple other people with Bast and Heruakhety combinations in various forms. ^.^
