For the Victims at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, WI
« on: August 06, 2012, 11:00:12 am »
Em hotep

Yesterday, a lone gunman went into a Sikh temple in Oak Creek Wisconsin and shot several members who were assembled worshiping in their own space. At the time of this writing, there are a total of seven victims, including the gunman. One of the police officers was also shot and is in critical condition.

IN 2004, in Barcelona, Spain, it was the Sikh contingency who fed and gave water for all of the attendees for that week for free.  Everyone came away with a sense of the goodness and generosity of the Sikh community.  In my own interfaith work, and in the corporate workplace, I have always felt a deep respect and admiration for the Sikh's that I have known.

Please join me in offering prayers to the friends and family of the victims and prayers that such ignorance, prejudice and violence can be overcome in our world today.

Senebty!

Please give your prayers to the friends and families and for the victims of this tragedy.
