Planetary Alingment

Has anyone heard the news of the planets Mercury, Saturn and Venus lining up directly over the Pyramids in Giza on 12-3-12? Is there any signifigance to this date in Kemetic culture? It is very interestering at least.

There has been a photo going around social networking sites purporting the idea of this alignment, however, it has been debunked.  Basically, while there was an alignment of Saturn, Venus, and Mercury, the photo that went viral was photo shopped.  They didn't line up as depicted, either with that intensity of luminosity, or their angle in relation to the horizon.  Actually, their alignment wasn't even as straight a line as depicted.  The photo also claims that it only happens once ever 2700-some odd years, while such alignments are rather common.

I did look up the date, and I don't see any particular festivals or other holy days that seem to be correlating with an alignment.  I will give the caveat that I know very little about Kemetic astrology.  There could be something there that I'm not seeing.  Really though, there is a festival of some sort or another more often than not.

TL;DR:  If it is a meme, or has gone viral, and has to do with Kemet, grab a bucket of salt.

I saw the photos too and it is pretty much as Ankhetbast mentioned.

The ancients knew much about astrology, and how the various stars and planets tied into various monuments and festivals is worth researching.

There is a lady called Ruby Falconer that specialises in Kemetic astrology as it manifests today. Here is the link to her book:
