Let's talk about Wenut!
« on: April 03, 2013, 03:39:05 pm »
Em Hotep, everyone!

I started a thread on the Q&A section about Easter celebrations, and Wenut was mentioned a few times. As I've not heard much about her, I looked through the forums to find more information, but I couldn't find anything. So I thought she deserved her own thread! Does anyone have any personal experiences with Wenut that they'd like to share?

For starters, here's the Henadology page about her.

She was the goddess of the 15th Nome of Egypt, which contained the city of Hermopolis. There's a beautiful statue of her in the Boston Museum that I'd love to visit someday.

Hotep Amber!  *henu*

Shefytbast can tell you a bit about Wenut as she has worked with Her as part of her 7 arrows of Bast work.  I'll mention your question to her when I see her this weekend!  ^_^
