New here, too
« on: July 24, 2013, 05:19:07 pm »
Hello, My name is Karantha, and I am also new here. I have been studying various pagan traditions since I was young, some 30 years or so, and lately I have been drawn towards the Egyptian pantheon, namely Hathor and Thoth. I have a beautiful 5 ft x 3 ft decoupage picture of them on my living room wall. I have been working with them for about a year, and have been trying to expand my studies into working with them in ritual. I have read many of the old books, Budge, Petrie, Naville, Wilkinson, LeRouf, and many others, to try to understand the basic workings of the old Egyptian religion. I am always looking for more information, and I have been trying to figure out how to make rituals I can use in my daily life. Thank you, and I look forward to meeting you.

Em hotep and welcome!

Do note that some of the older material, like Budge, is out of date and heavily influenced by Victorian morals. There has been a lot of Egyptology done since then. :)
