Does our temple do anything for the Winter Solstice observance?

From what I know, the House doesn't celebrate specifically the solstice as a festival, but there are a few festivals that fall on that day. There's the Feast of "Bast Guards the Two Lands", the Feast of Shu, and a solstice feast. The latter is the "Return of the Distant Goddess" who is Hethert.

Remembering that Kemet is considerably closer to the equator than most of us are, Solstice probably did not have the same level of anticipation as it does in places where day length is drastically altered.

You can certainly make the "Return of the Distant Goddess" holiday a large one for yourself, though.  It's a personally meaningful one to me, the solstice several years ago brought the return of the gods into my life, and the Return of the Distant Goddess festival I would imagine can be extended a bit to thank and celebrate Them all for being starshine-brilliant with a big dose of HetHert's characteristic joy, if you wanted to do it up big :-)

What you're looking for is the Return of the Distant Goddess feast which honors Hethert (as mentioned by Aref).  This feast honors Hethert as the return of the sun and occurs on the 21st of December.  You would offer light (candles, etc). and sweet drinks and foods to Her during this feast.  It is similar to a solstice celebration without the winter theme, strictly the return of longer days, as it's anywhere from 70 - 90 degrees Fahrenheit at this time of year in Kemet.
