Helping Syrian Refugees
« on: November 21, 2015, 10:46:44 am »
Right now, the world is dealing with the biggest refugee crisis since the second world war.  Even if you don't have the money to donate or sponsor a refugee family, you can donate your time and effort to helping.  Whether it's helping at a fundraising event, collecting needed supplies for people in refugee camps, volunteering to help recently-arrived refugees or just donating five dollars, everyone can find some way to pitch in.

In this thread, post links to local organizations and events so people can find ways to help.

Transcona Alliance Church Syrian Refugee Crisis response: http://www.mytac.ca/ministries/syrian-refugee-crisis

This is about all I could find, as it seems that Winnipeg's church community has taken up the mantle in regards to this crisis. I will see about poking around the provincial University and Red River Campus to see what other events at a student level are also being done.

Senebty!
