Has anybody interacted with Akher/Ruti, the Twin Lions of Yesterday and Tomorrow? Could you please tell me about Them?? If not, does anyone know any websites I could visit to learn about Them? I've already checked out Henadology.

Thank you! <3

Em hotep nefer, Anaputuwet! :D

As I mentioned to Taemwdjsi in their thread primarily concerning Djehuty and Ma'ahes, most of the leonine deities are covered in De Wit's Le Rôle et le Sens du Lion dans l'Egypte Ancienne. It's a fairly old volume, but most of the information presented is still up to scuff and it makes for a good starting point if nothing else. Aker's section begins on p. 91 and spans several pages (there's a preview on Google Books, but it is not complete, so you should hunt around for a PDF of it). If you're not particularly good with French, I can help if you would like. :) It's a lengthy section, though, so it'd take me a while to translate the whole thing for you.

Senebty! :D

Em Hotep Anaputuwet,

Wilkinson's Book "The Complete God and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt" does have a short blurb on Aker, but nothing on Ruti. The suggestion from Sedjfaiemitui is probably your best bet, even if it is in French. There are translation services around the web if its too much of a problem.

Addendum: Once again, in my eternal brain-fartery, I forgot to include here as I did in the above-mentioned Djehuty/Ma'ahes thread that our own Naisenu has done quite a lot of work translating from Leitz's German LAGG volumes. Ruty's translated entry is close to the bottom of the index page.

I can't offer any information but I am French and would happily translate passages for you if you found the pdf download and sent me a link specifying which pages would be required.
