I am sorry to hear that, I have been going through something similar myself. I will say my piece for you, I hope that it helps. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Hotep Tepta,

I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles.  I know what it's like to look for work and not have anyone offer you even an interview.   I know you mentioned you ended up leaving your job for now.  I will continue to keep you and yours in my prayers.

For the near future ..have you considered possibly doing a contract or temp job for a little while until you figure out what you want / like to do?

Just thinking outside the box ..but have you tried your local temporary work agencies like Manpower, Kellygirl, Robert Half Legal, Robert Half Account Temps?  I ask as I was in your situation back in 2013.   I took a temporary contract with one of the local temp agencies that was contracting to the State.  That job got my foot in the door and I was able to network with others and eventually able to get on full time permanent a year and a half ago ...  if you have not thought of that option's something least you would get a paycheck every week (most pay weekly).

Its just a thought ..I have a lot of those I have gotten older myself. I'm 57 now and if I lost my job with the State no one would hire me as I'm an official senior citizen now (even if I don't think so).

Please let me know if I can be of any help in that regard and I'm happy to help you navigate some of them to start with the application process.

Prayers coming your way.

Em hotep, all.

For those who aren't aware, my wife Kalie and I have been going through a rough time recently. My anxiety/depression has spiraled out of control. I was backed into a corner in April and forced to either 1) go out on short term disability again or 2) quit my job, and- in an effort to not just delay the inevitable, I quit. I have since been putting hundreds of applications in and have not heard back positively for any of them. I have not had a single interview, despite having my bachelors degree and nearly 7 years worth of experience.

We have enough money (from my 401k) to last until mid-september. If we do not find jobs paying a total of $2200 per month after tax before then (that's rent, bills, and food, we cannot cut down any more than that presently), we will be in serious trouble. Any prayers or positive energy towards my wife and I finding good jobs before we run out of funds would be greatly appreciated.
