The flu got me...
« on: July 02, 2017, 04:09:43 am »
Unfortunately I was sent home early from Military training, I will be returning next month. Please pray for a speedy recovery and while we are at it, pray that I can find the motivation to stay fit, and get fitter so I can go back and thrash the obstacle course and RFL fitness test!

Prayers to Sekhmet for your speedy recovery, and prayers to Set for (in this case, physical) strength.

Senebty,
Gezausenu.
I have left the House, but free services for Papa Set and Mama Sekhmet will always be offered to anyone who asks. Please e-mail me at gezausenu@gmail.com if you need anything at all. Ever. <3

As a note for specifics, I think my mind is what is limiting my running speed. I can run up to 30 kmh (18 mph) but when I run at this speed it feels like I am moving faster than my mind is percieving, it's like I can't move my leg after my other leg lands because of the time it takes my mind to percieve that my leg has hit the ground. I think that is something I need to overcome to push that extra 5 kmh (which will bring me up to the speed of an olympic sprinter) and I imagine that this is something that olympic sprinters need to overcome, to train their mind for faster running as well as their body. So it might help to mention that in your prayers, I certainly will. I wish I could just experience time slower, that would be cool.

You can do it mate! I was still doing Muay Thai and boxing at 53, in fact Boxing Australia couldn't find me an ameture match in Oz.......so, if I can get super fit, you can too!
If you can train 4-5 times a week once you've settled in to it, you should flog that course!
Good luck and prayers to you Salqu.

Justice. Xx
