Beginner's Class
« on: October 14, 2017, 10:55:03 pm »
Hooray!

The beginner's class will start soon! I'm really excited about it, and I can't wait to learn more about KO, and hopefully have a new platform to get closer to the Gods. Yinepu is still very active for me, though I've had to limit my daily rituals down to once a day rather than twice.

I was just curious if anyone might also be joining me for the beginner's class soon? Or if anyone who had already taken the beginner's class had some advice or stories to offer? I really enjoy reading things here, and learning other's perspectives!

Em hotep and welcome! I am glad you are here, and hope you enjoy our Beginner's Class. <3

About the class itself, it is an introduction to KO and what we do here, specifically, rather than an intro to Kemeticism or Netjer in general. I think the real fun is in interacting with other members, and actually practicing our religion, by doing Senut, and (if you can) attending our chats. The class is pretty relaxed in nature, so you don't have to worry about meeting strict deadlines or going to every chat.

I would encourage you to hang out on the forums and get to know people during this time. <3

Em hotep!

I was in the last beginner's class, and I absolutely loved it. the lessons were concise but easy to understand and the chats were very fun and engaging. I like that the class isn't a huge time commitment as that can make things harder for people who don't have much extra time. And the ones teaching the class were absolutely wonderful! Like Ahaienhethert said, Rev. Tanebet is absolutely amazing and I could not ask for someone better.

I really hope you have a good experience with the class too!
