Kemetic Wicca?
« on: December 01, 2017, 08:05:19 am »
Well I'm really interested in Kemetism and I've been experimenting with it quite some time. But I'm also interested in wiccan and paganism magic. So I was wondering if practicing wicca is against Ma'at or I can complement my kemetic believes with the espiritual aspect of wicca. Is it correct?

I don’t have much personal experience, but I believe that if you wish to take the Shemsu vows, that means you serve your Parent god(s) first as KO, and recognise KO as the ‘priority’ religion over others.

Hopefully someone else will come by and explain it better than I can, as that’s to my current understanding.

Yep. You can be Kemetic Orthodox and Wiccan.  But you can’t be a Kemetic Orthodox Wiccan (that is to say, combine them).

Having said that Kemetic (Tameran) Wicca is totally a thing, independent of what we’re doing. And you could be Kemetic Orthodox and a Tameran Wiccan.  Just keep them separate.

If you find that Kemetic/Tameran Wicca fills your spiritual needs such that Kemetic Orthodoxy is unnecessary; we’re cool with that too.  You’re still welcome to hang out with us. :)

It's completely doable! I am a Wiccan High Priestess and a Kemetic Orthodox Shemsu.
As was stated above, I do not put the two together. When I am practicing Kemetism, it's focused on Kemetism and vice versa.

Em hotep *henu*

I started out as a Wiccan honoring a few Names until I came across KO.  Once I became a Shemsu my Wicca became more Witchcraft and non deity oriented while KO took care of my spiritual side.  You may find ypur practice grows and morphs with you as you learn.  And that's totally ok.
