Em Hotep, Zat! I am so pleased to see you again. It is quite silly that I lived down the road from you for five years and we only connected in person once. I hope you’ll forgive me that. It was a strange time in my life and I’ve been rebuilding since 2016.

Senebty,

A’ashem

I had fantasized about having a name with an apostrophe since I was a teenager.

The one thing I wanted from my shemsu name was a nickname that was different than just the name without the god's name.

Em hotep, A'ashem!

I love hearing things like this. When I was in my childhood Ancient Egypt phase, I always loved the names that ended in -et, so I was pleasantly surprised when my Mother gave me one. :D At my naming, the nicknames that Hemet actually suggested were Adj and Awdj, but I like my -et name more.
Awdjerethethert, a.k.a. Awdjeret. They/them pronouns, please.

Welcome back, A’ashem!

I'm one of the relatively "newer" people, so I haven't met you before!

Hemet gave me the option of Taji or Tasedjeb.  It was no contest.  :)

In my case, I have no idea what name I'd want - as long as it doesn't translate to something like 'Annoys the Gods'.  ;) I have a hard enough time coming up with online nicks - they tend to be some variation of 'Capricorn' :D
