Glad to be here!
« on: July 11, 2019, 07:36:03 pm »
Thought I'd do the same as most of the others and introduce myself!

My name's Brian and I've lived in a few different places but right now I live in Salt Lake City. I write for a local magazine about music and I'm working on a new book while trying to get the last published. There are many events in my life that have pointed to something more than the material existence we share and I've put in a lot of time to try and understand my place in it. Kemeticism has stood out as one of the belief systems that most directly correlates to my own experience and I'm here to understand why.

In my meditations I've interacted with a few different figures that are identified in Kemeticism. Most of the interactions I've had are with Hekate and I believe Hathor although she seems to come around when she has something specific to stay and leaves me be for the rest. Hathor is a supportive figure in my life and Hekate challenges me more often than not which has been super impactful on my growth spiritually. Grateful to both of them.

I'm most of the way through R.T. Clark's Myth and Symbol and Egypt and there's definitely a lot there I wouldn't mind picking some of your brains on! I'm also in the process of learning Coptic. It's mostly just grammar and vocabulary now but I plan on continuing that so eventually I'll be able to translate things fairly well.

Happy to be here!

Welcome Brian!  I'm from Salt Lake and currently live in Sandy with Khaiptah!  I'm a big fan of Myth and Symbol in Anicent Egypt, too!

Edit: Forgot to ask, what magazine do you write for? I'd love to check it out.
