From a solitary kemetic
« on: February 10, 2020, 08:59:50 pm »
Hi :3

I'm a devotee of Wepwawet and I've been a solitary Kemetic pagan for... sheesh, over a decade at least. Lately, Wepwawet's been really pushing me to stop being a perpetual lurker and start getting involved in the Kemetic community (so I've joined here and tumblr): He seems especially interested in this religion, and I trust His guidance. If Wepwawet likes you, you must be some nice folk.

Outside of my devotion to Wepwawet -- though really, nothing is actually outside of my love of the nṯrw -- I love to read books, knit sweaters, journal, listen to music (I have a playlist just for Wepwawet!), and play relaxing games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. I am a slow-paced, stop and smell the flowers sort of person. I can't promise that I'll be able to get out of my habit of lurking very quickly, but we'll see. I'm still discerning as to whether to participate in the class here, after all!

Em hotep and welcome, Capybara! Great to see you here.

And if you’re thinking about the Beginners’ Class, I‘d suggest you‘ve nothing to lose (except maybe a few hours a week!), and potentially a huge amount to gain.

Hope to see you around more.  :D

Storm I'm definitely leaning towards taking it! I'm just the slow and steady sort who'll take a while to actually finalise my decision.

Em hotep & welcome!

If you ever feel like recommending me some Wepwawet songs, please do. I have playlist for each of my lineup and am also looking for more songs. I cannot get enough music recommendations in general, though.

Oh gosh, I know all about the lurking. I think I’ve been floating round these boards since 2007 (albeit with a different account back then). I’m still contemplating taking the beginners course and RPD but want to make absolutely sure I’m doing it for the right reasons, not out of some curiosity as to my line up.
