Recipe Book Fundraiser (Redux)
« on: July 29, 2020, 05:46:31 pm »
I am happy to announce an upcoming project that will have the dual purpose of honoring and nourishing ourselves and our akhu, as well as fundraising!
We would like to make a House of Netjer recipe book called (something like) "Let's Feast" (it's a working title!).
These don't have to be recipes from your akhu, but anything you cook that you would like to share. Your favorite snacks, comfort food, dinner, lunch, breakfast or dessert are all welcomed.

We are just beginning to collect recipes to include in the book. We are happy to include recipes you have from your own kitchens, as well as those recipes your relatives wrote on the back of Carnation Milk labels and kept in a box on the kitchen window sill!

If relevant, please include any information you might have on the relative such as their name, the title you knew them by (Nanna, Gramps, Mum, Dad, Pops, etc.), their dates, their relationship to you, and maybe a little bio. We will try to include this with the recipe.

Below are a couple of examples. We would like as many recipes from as many of you as we can get!! Let's make this a true community project that will feed us and the kau of your family, and bring in some funds to allow us to thrive!
When we've collected them all, we'll compile them into a book, have it printed, and sell them for fundraising! Feed yourself, your community, and your akhu!

Please send your recipes to Revkhaiptah@kemet.org

Thanks, all!!

Senebty,
KhaiPtah

Combine everything except the mayo in a bowl.  Mix well.
Then add the mayonnaise and stir until combined well.

Serve on French Baguettes.

Bloody marvelous.

-3 medium potatoes
-1 large onion,
-1 medium turnip
-Cooking oil
-1 bottle of red wine

Take all ingredients except the red wine and put them in the refrigerator.
Open wine and allow it to breathe.
Pour into suitable container one measured cup of wine.
Drink wine.
Repeat.
Order take out.
