Whats the criteria of getting myself a name of one of the Gods? I have always felt attached to Mandulis(Marul or Merwel). Is that name reserved??
Should I wait to first be baptised to receive it?

What do you mean by "getting a name of one of the gods"? Also, there are no baptisms here.

I think you're referring to Shemsu names, which we don't choose for ourselves! They're given to us upon accepting the Shemsu vow (after taking the Rite-of-Parent divination), from our Parent(s), divined by Hemet (AUS). The Rite of Parent Divination is available to you 6-months after your very first Senut, but it's not an obligation and you won't be prompted to take it. You'll learn all about Senut during your classes~ ;v;

Thank you so much @Amarantheia. I will wait for 6 months to take the Shemsu vow. And I'm looking forward to learning from all of you who have been here longer than me.

Em hotep!

I love very much that your ancestors brought you here.  A cornerstone of this religion is venerating our ancestors - our akhu, so it sounds like you've come to the right place.

As for the shemsu name and vow, as Amarantheia said, it's a process.  Focusing on the beginner classes and learning all you can about the religion will be a good first step to making your way towards becoming a shemsu, if that is your wish.  Looking forward to getting to know you!

Thank you so much Shukheperas_ankhi,

When you finally find a home, you can't think of getting lost again. You can move here and there but you will always return home. I confirm my willingness to stay on beyond the beginners class. I intend to learn all I can about my religion, become a Shemsu and assist more people in Africa, specifically East Africa where I am now.
I'm looking forward to learning from you!

Blessed Tahai,

Uganda is the Source of River Nile and part of the cradle for the humanity. In the past we have been haunted by bad leadership, mostly during times of Idi Amin. Things are changing gradually and with the blessing of our ancestors, we are progressing. If only the current leader will not insist on becoming a life president.

However, there is an awakening taking place and alot of people are thronging to African Spirituality. This is bringing people together who have been so much divided along western religions. Its a fertile ground for Kemetic Orthodoxy.
