Finally contributing my own photos... :)

My akhu shrine.

My altar.

(The altar has a door and two internal shelves, also filled with things, but the "working" shrine is all on top.)

It is indeed! :D Ekunyi originally got it for Nut, Who did not like it as much as we all hoped, but it got passed along to Hethert-Nut, Who loves it. ^_^ I adore it and think it fits Her perfectly.

I'm really, really, REALLY digging that scorpion painting!  As for Starry Cow, that's one of my FAVORITE paintings, so cool to see it in sculpture form!

I love all of the artwork and colors, your shrine is so vibrant.  :D

I guess I will post a picture of what my shrine looks like thus far. (I feel like such a novice though…)

My shrine right now

I also am working on a more proper akhu shrine but I’m having some trouble making it seem right, but that may take some time. Right now it mostly only has a candle, a fragrance oil  burner (smoke incense and these lungs do not get along), and a somewhat stereotypical Native American statue (for my father’s side of the family since the only thing I know about him is he was Cherokee since he left my mother when she got pregnant with me and I haven‘t been able to find him).

Once my new box shrine is complete, I'll snap a few pics to share. Loving everyone's shrines! Thank you all for sharing.

I am actually going to build shelves for the 5 beloveds and circle them with Nut being on top. It will be really cool when I am done. As for Sekhmet, *blushes* I got her from TJMaxx a long time ago when they sold a ton of Egyptian stuff.

Why the blush? I got my first Wepwawet shrine icon at a very large drugstore in Oakland, CA.

These shrines are wonderful, I hope to get some pictures of mine, I am trying to find a representation of Nepthys but it is proving difficult.
May the Neteru smile upon you!

What I did foran image of Nebet-Het is print a picture of Her that resonated with me (for me, the more historically accurate the representation, the better) onto photo paper and put it in a picture frame. Since I don't honor Her a lot, it works for me. From what I hear, statues of Her are really hard to find.  Heck, finding a picture I liked of Her even proved difficult, but I did find one. Or if, you're artistically inclined you can make your own (I'm not.) There are people online who you could commission to make a statue for you, but from I heard, this can be pricey. (I never had one made for me. I live on retail money and that's not a lot.)  :)

I've never thought of printing or drawing pictures of the Names before. I've been worried for ages about affording statues because money is extremely tight. I'm not worried now, I can just get one or two small statues, once I know who my Parents are hopefully in the near future. This thread has helped me so much. Thankyou everyone.  :)
