Hey, all,

Let's please keep the subject line for this thread as it has been "Re: WANT TO SEE YOUR SHRINE PICTURES" so that we don't end up losing the communal thread under a subject heading that only applies to a small number of posts. Thank you!

Senebty!

Look out the window. And doesn't this remind you of when you were in the boat, and then later that night you were lying looking up at the ceiling, and the water in your head was not dissimilar from the landscape, and you think to yourself Why is it that the landscape is moving but the boat is still?

Just a single photo of my Aset Luminous altar. I finally succeeded in making paper boats! :D

The top altar is an Aset + related goddesses altar. There's Mary, seven stars for Yemaya, Isis, Kwan Yin, and a whole pile of others. Basically, all the goddesses She's introduced me to. The only boys on there are the two large cat statues, which I understand to be Bast-Mut's netjeri. The two horses represent Sobek (grey/left) and Heru-sa (brown/right) as celestial twins sort of related to Castor and Pollux, which is my own personal UPG, not something from history. That UPG relates to a particular meaning/interpretation of my Shemsu name that I won't go into here.

The bottom altar is my Parents and Beloveds altar. Although there is a small statue of Kwan Yin down there too. Aset insisted. And yes, Sobek and Heru-sa are next to each other (though their heads got cut off with the angle of the photo). They refuse to be separated anymore so I've stopped trying.

The winged goddess on the left on the top altar is my new Nekhbet statue/candleholder/statue thing. She's so pretty. <3 She said She was Nekhbet when I asked, and there are Nekhbet vultures around the base, which you can't see in that photo. I hadn't set out to buy Her, but I found Her at the markets and lo, She came home with me.

Emiti, I just stand amazed at your shrine picture.

Especially that other divine figures are acknowledged and in the very close space, I've had Serqet introduce me to some of Them too & this is simply amazing to see.

@Setken: Thanks. I really love how well it's all come together. Shrines are ever-evolving things, I've found.

@Helmsman of Yinepu: *tugs on Sobek's sleeve* 'Daddy, can I keep Her? Please? :D?'

@Tasaiserqet: Thanks Tasai. :) I have a very eclectic faith and both Aset and Djehuty have introduced me to non-Kemetic gods. Aset's been bugging me for Her own shrine for quite some time as well. I finally caved. XD Interestingly, I've never met Serqet. I keep asking Aset, but She tells me I only have Her, not Serqet. They didn't come together. So. *shrugs*

Actually I must take some photos of all the individual figurines on that top shrine. Many are hidden behind other things on there as many are only small statues. But that's a job for not-this-late-at-night. XD

I am Greatly Joyous that Sokar is being recognized by more an more and also that he is being worshiped as well.  I went through a time where I could find no other followers of his.  I started following him in 1995 at the age of 16.  I owe him so much thanks and reverence that I can never truly repay! One of the few things I could think of was to write my first book on him and dedicate my life to him.
