Em hotep nefer, everyone!

The day of my RPD, I finally got to the bottom of why I struggle with Senut--my ol' bones can't deal with kneeling and sitting! My answer, then, was to get a desk. And a good thing! It's crowded already....
http://s1064.photobucket.com/user/DyllenniumFalcon/media/Desk-of-an-Altar_zpslqlx1kjf.jpg.html?sort=3&o=4

Firstly, dear Papa Set: I made His statue first, several months ago now, when I hadn't worked with clay in a long time. He looks kind of grumpy. But that's okay. His headdress hangs by the chair because, since I'm legally blind, I suppose, I like to touch things. Holding onto His headdress is like holding His hand. <3 (Also, He's got my mom's wedding/anniversary ring, since I can't wear it right now. XD)
http://s1064.photobucket.com/user/DyllenniumFalcon/media/Papa%20Set_zpshkuch3kk.jpg.html?sort=3&o=3

Next, Mama Sekhmet. I ended up crying while painting Her statue today. My biological mom was scary--but how could I be afraid of Her?

Beloveds!
Ptah. I see Him as a wizened, wise old man, quietly shaping the world with His hands, like a potter shapes clay. He didn't turn out as I'd hoped, but hey... that's part of the process, no? Sometimes the work of our hands doesn't match our heads. And--surprise!--that's actually okay.
http://s1064.photobucket.com/user/DyllenniumFalcon/media/Ptah%20at%20Work_zps0fmtx20m.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1

Djehuty! My oldest known "friend" amongst the Gods. I wanted something simple, and ended up with a funky-looking galaxy-themed Ibis... ish.
http://s1064.photobucket.com/user/DyllenniumFalcon/media/The%20Cosmic%20Ibis_zps6uivo0tu.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2

And Heru-wer is not forgotten! His statue's dry, but He hasn't dropped a color scheme into my head yet. I didn't want to rush painting Him this afternoon along with Mama Sekhmet and Ptah, so I'm waiting until He pokes me. :)

Hope you enjoy! All of your shrines are so gorgeous. <3

Thank you Gezausenu, for sharing your shrine photos.  I especially love the Set and Sekhmet pieces.  <3 !

(I solved my own wonky knee problem by having the 'parent' level of my shrine at eye level.  Book shelves work good for this.)

Aw, thanks to all of you! :) I'm really glad! The statues were a real joy.

As for the desk itself--y'know, it is nice to kind of have an "office" where I can "conduct business" with the Gods--or vice versa, as the case usually is. (And I'm totally being tongue-in-cheek here. :P)

Actually, the desk is, what, my third Kemetic shrine? I've used a portable wooden table and a repurposed shoe-bench--the latter was cool but it just didn't work. Plus it's super light-weight (for a desk!) and comfy. ^_^

I rather want to remake Papa Set's statue, now that all's said and done. He's kind of a ham, I'm sure He wouldn't mind. ;)

Em hotep, Asetemsatweret!

I used Activa Plus Self-hardening Clay--it's great, it just air-dries. I balled up aluminum foil into a general shape and used it as "stuffing," covering that with the clay and adding details. Once dry, I painted the statues with good ol' acrylic paint and covered them with Antique ModPodge. :)

Because Ptah's depicted as a mummiform man, I tried wrapping Him in gauze. Aha. Didn't quite work so well. ;)

I'm glad you like them, and I hope this helps!

Eh hotep all!

I actually just set my altar back up recently after moving and dealing with stuff (just all the stuff). It is no where near the awesomeness of the things I've seen on here, but I'm happy with it for now. :-)

SilverLeo, I love what you've done with the candles... and honestly, the simplicity is gorgeous. :)

(And Sonebi, I'd love to see your shrine post-RPD! ^_^)

Save for the card, this is often the shrine I travel with!  I have to borrow cups sometimes from the hotel rooms for offerings, but I've had no complaints!

My newly-revamped shrine! I was asked for more red things... and, finally, everyone is here! I (finally!) finished my statue of Heru-Wer!

First, the shriney-shrine:
http://s1064.photobucket.com/user/DyllenniumFalcon/media/Shrine%20August%202016_zpsi7qi73nb.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
I wanted to focus on how Everyone's related, and Mama Sekhmet asked to be next to Her husband Ptah. Heru-wer didn't mind sharing space with Papa Set's drum and knife, and Djehuty--well, dear Beaky has His book-corner.

And, now, Heru-wer!
http://s1064.photobucket.com/user/DyllenniumFalcon/media/Heru-wer_zpscy6cvzyk.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1
This is actually my second attempt at a statue for Him: the first one just looked like a songbird. This one, unfortunately, was made from "resurrected" clay--it had partially dried out and was brought back to semi-pliability with water. That made it hard to work with, but it was all I had. And, I don't think Heru-wer minds--it was still a labor of love. :)

Tawa'ubastmut, that's a wonderful travel shrine! :D
