Quote from: TaysatWesir
Hemet's answer to the questions is that Ma'ahes is affiliated with Heru-sa-Aset, which should explain all you need to know about why He'd be working against Set at certain times. Rechit here is probably the German spelling of "rekhyt," or "human beings." Gabelstoc is also a German word, or a badly-spelled one, anyway, meaning "fork" or "fork-shaped weapon," here probably some sort of a spear or pitchfork (multiple-tined spear). I had the epithets translated for me by a friend of a friend. Now I'm curious to see if any of the Ptah-Sokar-Wesir epithets have mistakes.

If I found the write epithet you were talking about (is it "Er lebt vom Blut der Rechit-Leute"?), I looked up "leute" and apparently it means 'people'. What "rechit" means I have no idea, as the closest thing I can find is "recht" which means lawful or good, and rechen which means rake (which is what my first translation popped up with: It lives on the blood of the rake people).

Weird. Of course if I was looking at the entirely wrong epithet, please ignore me!

How do you translate the German into English, is there an online translator? Or is it done in your head?
I would be very interested in seeing the epithets of Djehuty listed in this book-but I don't know anything about the German language! :)
